The 2025 NFL trade deadline concluded on Tuesday evening, and a few blockbuster trades were involved. From Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams being traded to noticeable moves like Jaelan Phillips. Here are the five biggest winners from the 2025 NFL trade deadline.
Five Winners From The 2025 NFL Trade Deadline
5. Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks made a trade for wide receiver Rashid Shaheed from the New Orleans Saints. All Seattle had to give up was a 2026 fourth-round pick and a 2026 fifth-round pick. Shaheed immediately provides a deep threat for a Seattle offense that has already been one of the most explosive in the league.
Shaheed will also be a seamless fit in Seattle’s offense, coordinated by Klint Kubiak, as Kubiak was the offensive coordinator in New Orleans last season, where Shaheed was enjoying his best year as a pro before a season-ending knee injury in October of 2024.
4. Baltimore Ravens Defense
The Ravens defense got more help when they traded for Dre’Mont Jones, a pass rusher from the Tennessee Titans. Baltimore is in the bottom half of the league in sacks this year, and adding another pass rusher in Jones, who has 4.5 sacks this season, playing for what could be the worst team in the NFL this season.
The Ravens have made it clear they believe they can go on a run in the second half of the season, and solidifying their defense, which had been one of the worst in the first half of the season, was the way to go. In the two games the Ravens have played since their bye, they have allowed a total of 22 points.
3. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles made multiple trades leading up to the trade deadline. They added cornerback Jaire Alexander and Michael Carter III while also adding a former first-round pick at edge rusher in Jaelan Phillips. Philly has one of the best defensive coordinators in the NFL in Vic Fangio, who the Eagles believe will get the best out of the players they traded for.
Philly firmly believes they have a good chance to repeat as Super Bowl champions, and they approached the NFL trade deadline with that mindset.
2. QB Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts
For the Indianapolis Colts to send two first-round picks over to the Jets in a trade for Sauce Gardner is a sign of the confidence they have in Jones. Jones signed a one-year $14 million deal for the Colts this offseason, and he has performed as one of the best quarterbacks in the league this season.
Jones currently leads the NFL in passing yards with 14 touchdowns and a 69.6 completion percentage. The Colts are also leading the NFL in points. With the Colts trading significant draft capital they could have used for a quarterback, they believe Jones is their quarterback of the future. Ultimately, with the big trade, they believe Jones can lead Indianapolis to the Super Bowl.
1. New York Jets
The New York Jets were at the center of attention for the NFL trade deadline as they traded away two of their blue-chip players. Sauce Gardner was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for two first-round picks. They also traded Quinnen Williams for a first and second-round pick. The Jets put themselves in a position to control the next two drafts and are equipped with plenty of capital to rebuild their team. Over the last weekend, they also traded one of their cornerbacks, Michael Carter III.
