It’s hard to believe, but there’s only one game left in the entire 2023 NFL Regular season. With the Senior Bowl now finished, there’s been plenty of movement in players’ draft stocks. Be sure to check my profile for more 2024 NFL mock drafts.
2024 Mock Draft 2.0
1. Chicago Bears (via Carolina)
Caleb Williams, QB, USC
Nothing new here. Now more than ever, the league expects Williams to be selected by Chicago.
2. Washington Commanders
Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
New offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury now gets the chance to develop one of the more intriguing pro-style quarterback prospects of the last few years.
3. New England Patriots
Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State
With the failed experiment of Mac Jones, the new Patriots’ leadership may opt to go with a veteran presence at the quarterback position. In the meantime, they still get the best non-quarterback prospect in the draft.
4. Arizona Cardinals
Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
A slight change from my last mock draft, but rumor on the street is that NFL teams are prioritizing Odunze’s polish and size over Malik Nabers.
5. Los Angeles Chargers
Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
New Chargers’ Head Coach Jim Harbaugh has gotten to see how dominant of a force Bowers is up close. With Gerald Everett hitting free agency, now is the time to upgrade the position.
6. New York Giants
Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
With the top two receivers off the board, the Giants prioritize protecting Daniel Jones. In this scenario, Alt would step into the right tackle spot while Evan Neal slides inside. This lineup would provide the most upside for New York’s offensive line.
7. Tennessee Titans
Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State
Due to a great Senior Bowl performance, scouts are reanalyzing Fuaga’s tape. With his physical gifts, he could easily rise to be the second tackle taken. Tennessee needs help at both tackle spots.
8. Atlanta Falcons
Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
This seems to be the perfect fit. A young quarterback with a plethora of weapons to succeed. Zac Robinson, a McVay disciple, will have the chance to develop Daniels’ talents into one of the top quarterbacks in the NFC South.
9. Chicago Bears
Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
The Bears find themselves in a lucky spot after the board causes Nabers to fall to nine. With Darnell Mooney likely to test the market, Nabers makes for a great pairing with D.J. Moore.
10. New York Jets
Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State
Fashanu didn’t have his best season in 2023 but still has good upside. The Jets have a massive hole at right tackle and even if it isn’t great value, they badly need to upgrade that position.
11. Minnesota Vikings
Dallas Turner, DE, Alabama
Due to injuries and impending free agents, Minnesota will have plenty of holes to fill. Adding the draft’s highest potential edge gives Brian Flores‘s defense a real chance to be around the top 10 next year.
12. Denver Broncos
Bo Nix, QB, Oregon
This may look a bit early, but teams in the teens’ range will be targeting Nix. The five-year starter is easily one of the most pro-ready quarterbacks in the draft and seems to be a good fit in the Sean Payton system.
13. Las Vegas Raiders
Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama
A talent infusion is much needed in the Raiders’ defensive backfield. Arnold has everything teams look for in a starting cornerback and has experience at the highest college level. He could step in immediately as the team’s top cornerback.
14. New Orleans Saints
Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU
New Orleans just hired Klint Kubiak to coordinate the offense. If he, Dennis Allen, and Micky Loomis truly want to get the best out of Derek Carr, they must upgrade at receiver. Thomas Jr. is already good enough to start ahead of Michael Thomas and Rashid Shaheed.
15. Indianapolis Colts
Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo
A great week of tape in the Senior Bowl has solidified Mitchell as cornerback two as of February. He was able to do all he did during the season and more against better competition. Mitchell can easily start at either the left or right corner spots in Gus Bradley‘s defense.
16. Seattle Seahawks
JJ McCarthy, QB, Michigan
The Seattle Seahawks are in a precarious position for the future. Backup Drew Lock is hitting free agency and Geno Smith only has one more year left on his deal. Since Mike McDonald already has experience with JJ at Michigan, it makes sense to let him develop for a year and compete for the starting job in 2025.
17. Jacksonville Jaguars
Jackson Powers-Johnson, IOL, Oregon
Not only do the Jaguars have a need at center, but also at guard. Powers-Johnson is by far the best center in the class and showed similar ability at guard during the Senior Bowl. He can fill in at any spot and be a starter on Jacksonville’s offensive line.
18. Cincinnati Bengals
Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
With Chidobe Awuzie likely leaving in free agency, the Bengals need another outside corner opposite of Cam Taylor-Britt. He thrives in zone coverage and would fit well in Lou Anarumo‘s defense.
19. Los Angeles Rams
Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA
Like my previous mock, Latu falls all the way to 19 due to injury concerns. He’s possibly the most polished rusher in the draft and would make for a good addition to their young defensive line.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers
Kool-Aid McKinistry, CB, Alabama
Similar to last offseason, the Steelers have a huge need at cornerback. Simply put, Patrick Peterson and Levi Wallace aren’t fit to be consistent starters. In McKinistry, Pittsburgh gets another lengthy cornerback which makes for a solid core with Joey Porter Jr.
21. Miami Dolphins
Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas
Miami’s stud defensive tackle Christian Wilkins looks determined to test the open market. If he does end up leaving, Murphy II would be a great replacement. He’s the best interior pass rusher in the class and has elite athletic traits.
22. Philadelphia Eagles
Jared Verse, DE, Florida State
Regardless of how talent must be added to the Philadelphia Eagles’ pass rush group since it was so unproductive compared to last year. Verse is one of the best power-pass rushers in the draft and would make for a solid Brandon Graham replacement.
23. Houston Texans (via CLE)
Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois
With Newton still on the board, he presents an opportunity to upgrade at defensive tackle. He’d immediately start over Maliek Collins. His strength gives him the versatility to be an impact maker in both the run and pass game. He pairs well with Sheldon Rankins.
24. Dallas Cowboys
Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma
After a solid Senior Bowl showing, Guyton has likely locked himself in as a first-round pick. With both Tyron Smith and Terrance Steele unlikely to remain on the Cowboys roster, Guyton could be a fantastic replacement.
25. Green Bay Packers
Cooper DeJean, DB, Iowa
The more I think about it, the more DeJean makes sense in Green Bay. The Iowa product can play any secondary position. The Packers face uncertain futures at both safety spots, nickel and outside cornerback.
26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Keon Coleman, WR, FSU
Tampa Bay’s best receiver is set to hit free agency. Mike Evans will go for around $30 million a year, which could very well be out of Tampa’s price range. Coleman is the perfect Evans replacement. He’s a big-body receiver who sometimes struggles to separate but is a great contested catcher.
27. Arizona Cardinals (via HOU)
Chop Robinson, DE, Penn State
Simply put, Arizona badly needs pass-rush help. Chop Robinson has an explosive first step that could allow him to out-maneuver opposing offensive tackles. This move would also allow Zaven Collins to move back to his natural position as middle linebacker.
28. Buffalo Bills
Bralen Trice, DE, Washington
While Buffalo could upgrade the wide receiver room, they choose to go with a pass rusher here. After free agency ends, this could easily be a position of need with Leonard Floyd, A.J. Epenesa, and Shaq Lawson likely going into free agency.
29. Detroit Lions
Troy Fautanu, OT, Washington
Detroit has plenty of decisions to make regarding their offensive line. Three potential starters at guard are set to hit free agency including Graham Glasgow, Jonah Jackson, and Halapoulivaati Vaitai. Although he played tackle as a Husky, his blend of power and length could translate at guard.
30. Baltimore Ravens
Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon
After Zay Flowers, the Ravens really don’t have much in terms of receiving talent. It would behoove them to add to their stock of first-round receivers. In Franklin, they get another guy who can stretch the field.
31. Kansas City Chiefs
T’Vondre Sweat, DT, Texas
The Chiefs could be facing problems at defensive tackle shortly. Chris Jones has made it clear that he wants top dollar. If the Chiefs can’t make that happen, they’ll have to replace him. With the top prospects at defensive tackle off the board, Sweat could be the pick. He has the best size out of the top defensive tackles and has Vita Vea-like abilities at that size.
32. San Fransisco 49ers
J.C. Latham, OT, Alabama
Latham would be a much-needed upgrade for the 49ers, regardless if he plays tackle or guard. Right tackle Colton McKivitz‘s performance leaves much to be desired and the overall play of the interior offensive line was among the league’s worst.
