It seems like every year we are talking about Odell Beckham Jr being traded. The super-talented receiver has had a rough few years with some bad organizations with the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns. Those rumors are starting to heat up again this season. The connection with quarterback Baker Mayfield has just not been there. OBJ has not come out and demanded a trade, but it seems as though divorce could be beneficial for both the franchise and the player. So let’s take a look at some potential  Odell Beckham Jr. trade destinations.

Five Potential Odell Beckham, Jr. Trade Destinations

5.) New York Jets

The Jets are lacking any type of weapons for Sam Darnold. Beckham wouldn’t be new to the New York market. This would give Darnold a weapon he can depend on. There is no question that he would give the Jet’s their best receiver in some time. I’m not sure he would be thrilled going to another dysfunctional organization, on the brink of going through a rebuild. I wouldn’t put a high percentage on this happening, but I wouldn’t rule it out with how bad the weaponry is in New York.

4.) The Washington Football Team

Another team deprived of weapons. Outside of wide receiver Terry McLaurin, they offer nothing for defenses to worry about. This team was in the bidding for Amari Cooper. They are clearly looking for help for their young quarterback. I’m not sure Beckham would enjoy going to this organization as they have issues all over the organization. However, OBJ and McLaurin would offer a very explosive 1-2 punch for Washington. I could see Washington making a serious bid.

3.) Green Bay Packers

This organization offers a strong history of success and a top-flight quarterback in Aaron RodgersGreen Bay failed to address the position in the draft and free agency. Davante Adams is a stud, but they offer nothing else at the position. Beckham might not be a fan of the cold weather, but pairing with Rodgers might make it easier to accept. This would give the Packers some lethal weapons to work with to make a run at another super bowl.

2.) New England Patriots

This has been a rumor for some time now. The Patriots are famous for buying low on big talent. Beckham wanted to play with Tom Brady but he resides in Tampa Bay now. However, OBJ is good friends with Cam Newton and could be really enticed by this opportunity. The Patriots have been trouting out some rough receivers over the years. Beckham would be the most talented receiver this team has had since Moss. He and Newton would be a fun pairing to watch.

1.) San Francisco 49ers

This feels like a match made in heaven here. Odell Beckham, Jr. loves the warm weather, as he has stated in past interviews. The 49ers are in need of some receiver help, and Kyle Shanahan is known as one of the most creative offensive minds in the game. He was the coordinator for Julio Jones on the Atlanta Falcons‘ road to the super bowl. Pairing him with Jimmy Garoppolo could be a long-lasting marriage that benefits both parties. Odell Backham Jr. would thrive in San Fransico.
