2018 National League All Star Team

The 2018 MLB All-Star Game is only a couple of weeks away. The rosters were recently released, and feature some of the biggest names in baseball. Here is your 2018 National League All Star team.

Starters

Matt Kemp and Nick Markakis will be featured in the outfield with hometown hero Bryce Harper. With his hot play of late, Javy Baez won the spot over Scooter Gennett and Ozzie Albies. Willson Contreras, Baez, and Nick Markakis are all starting in their first ASG appearance.

Reserves

Buster Posey has been replaced by future Hall of Famer Yadi Molina due to injury. Both of the Brewers offseason acquisitions made the team as reserves in Yelich and Cain. Rookie Ozzie Albies will be making an ASG appearance in his first year. This is also the first ASG for Yelich, Gennett, Story, Suarez, and Realmuto.

Pitchers

Though Jacob deGrom deserves it, Max Scherzer figures to make the ASG start in front of his home crowd. Strikeout machine Josh Hader, rookie sensation Miles Mikolas, and Felipe Vazquez are all making their first ASG appearance.

FINAL VOTE

Fans have until July 12 to vote for the final vote. All five of these players are very much deserving of spots on the team. Max Muncy, Brandon Belt, and Jesus Aguilar are all power hitters. Matt Carpenter has turned his season around after a slow start. Trea Turner is a young and exciting speedster. This will be a fun race for the final ASG spotin the National League.
