Some things are just starting in sports as we are heading into spring, some are ending, but all are fun and exciting. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights of what is out there and what will be coming.

PGA GOLF

Truly a sign of spring, even though technically golf plays even in December, it has a wonderful warm weather feel to it. Even as the late season snowstorms hit a lot of the country, sitting and enjoying the well maintained courses is just a great feeling. Already there have been great showings in the past tournaments. Phil Michelson won last week’s tournament in great fashion to put an end to a five year drought and prove he is still in it to win. Tiger Woods, another huge draw and fan favorite is playing for the first time in this week’s Valspar Championship. Not only has he been getting his game play back, but he has won nine out of forty events when he debuts in them. That is going to draw a lot of attention and keep the others watching the leader board.

WWE FASTLANE

This week is the next pay per view event on the road to the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania. Many stories are being formed and alliances are being made as well as enemies. In a sports entertainment event. The talent and daredevil skill at these shows is off the charts. Look for my more detailed match rundown on our site.

NFL SCOUTING AND MOVES

Yes there is a lot going on in the NFL even with no games in play. Young talented hopefuls are showing off their skills at combine. Free agents are looking around to see if changing teams is a viable option. Teams are shuffling salary cap money to see how many top players they can keep. It will be interesting as always to see what happens in the NFL Draft which is now less than fifty days away. We can see the obvious skills such as Shaquem Griffin running a 4.38 forty yard dash. We have also heard the guarantees and the smack talk coming already. But as the saying goes, this is the NFL. Are the big talkers going to make the biggest impact or are the quiet confident ones going to be the biggest gain for the team that drafts them?

MARCH MADNESS BRACKET REVEAL

This is one of the biggest yearly events in sports. The teams are getting ready, the fans have their bracket sheets. Last minute picks and predictions get spotlighted this weekend. The official start is this Tuesday March 13th so if you haven’t picked your picks and entered your office pools. What are you waiting for, go go go!!!

ALL THIS AND MORE

With a wonderful thing like sports, there is always something to watch. Of course there is still preseason baseball going on with the start of the season only a few weeks away. Nascar races are going strong and will be dropping the flag Sunday afternoon. Bottom line there is always something entertaining to watch to relax and enjoy. So enjoy.

In addition to writing about sports I also write action/adventure books, and am a wife and mother of three and work as a mail carrier.
